Let’s have a look at how to install MultiVersus mods.

Is It Safe to Use MultiVersus Mods?

MultiVersus is an always-online multiplayer game, so there’s reason to be cautious about doing anything that might modify the game files.

There hasn’t been any official word on whether modding MultiVersus violates the terms of service for the game. While the developers have made unofficial comments indicating support for modding, the risk will always be there.

Where to Find MultiVersus Mods

The best MultiVersus mods are currently found across two different websites: Nexus Mods and GameBanana.

They both host a wide range of skins and tweaks available for MultiVersus. Take a look at the Nexus Mods page for MultiVersus, as well as the GameBanana page.

How to Install MultiVersus Mods

When you download a mod from one of the above websites, you’ll have a .rar file containing one or more .pak files. You’ll need to extract those files (if you’re unsure how to do that, read our guide on unzipping files in Windows 10) and place them somewhere you’ll remember.

Next, navigate to the installation folder for the game. This can be easily done in Steam by right-clicking MultiVersus, going into Manage, and then hitting Browse Local Files. You’ll know you’re in the right place if it looks like the above picture.

From the main installation folder, you need to navigate through MultiVersus, go into Content, and then finally open the Paks folder. Create a new folder here called ~mods. It should look like the below picture.

This is the folder where you’ll place any downloaded .pak files. Copy your downloaded files from earlier into this folder and that’s it. Launch your game to test your mods out.

Online Games With Modding Support

Let’s hope we keep seeing more of the high-quality, often hilarious skins for MultiVersus.
